COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This practical and forward-thinking teacher training course focuses on helping educators empower their students with the digital and AI literacy skills needed to succeed in today’s world. Participants will explore what it means to be digitally and AI literate, and how to nurture learners’ confidence, critical thinking, and responsible use of technology. Through interactive workshops and collaborative projects, teachers will learn how to guide students in using AI tools safely, ethically, and creatively across subjects. The course is closely aligned with the AI Literacy Framework developed by the European Commission, promoting a human-centred approach to digital education and supporting the EU’s vision for responsible, inclusive, and future-ready learning.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is suitable for teachers and educators from Primary, Secondary, Vocational and higher education, as well as school staff such as school management e.g; School Principals, Directors of Studies; who want to help their students develop essential digital literacy skills and become more confident, critical and responsible users of technoogy in the age of AI.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must have a minimum B1 level of English, as outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- Teachers should bring a laptop or tablet, and a pair of headphones.
COURSE AIMS:
- Understanding the core concepts of digital and AI literacy
- Exploring how AI systems collect, use, and interpret data
- Helping learners recognise bias, misinformation, and ethical implications
- Encouraging creativity and responsible experimentation with AI tools
- Developing classroom strategies to promote critical thinking and inclusion
- Integrating digital citizenship and wellbeing into everyday lessons
COURSE METHODOLOGY:
Across five days of interactive input sessions, workshops, and collaborative activities, participants will explore how to translate these principles into classroom practice. Trainers will guide participants through examples of age-appropriate lessons, projects, and classroom discussions that help learners build awareness, agency, and critical thinking in relation to technology and AI.

- Lessons: 20 hours tuition + 10 hours of project work per week

OTHER INFORMATION:
If minimum number per course are not met, we will offer participants a combination of General English development and Teacher Training Development as an alternative. Therefore:
- For courses with 9 particpants or more we will offer the full course as indicated.
- For courses with 5-8 particpants we will offer 20 hours General English and 10 hours of Teacher Training Development in the afternoons.
- For courses with 1-4 particpants we will offer 20 hours General English and 5 hours of Teacher Training Development in the afternoons.
